Nova Scotia's Court of Appeal has ordered a new trial for a Cape Breton man acquitted of three charges in 2019 for a collision that resulted in the death of girl riding a bicycle.
Colin Tweedie was handed a suspended sentence and 18 months probation for lying about who was driving an SUV the day Talia Forrest was struck and killed. Meanwhile, the Crown is appealing his acquittal for other charges in the incident.
