MELBOURNE – So far, he s garnered a Bachelor of Science in History from the U.S. Air Force Academy, where he made a specialty of Soviet Area Studies; proved his proficiency in nearly a dozen aircraft; held command at both the company and field grade levels; earned his combat spurs in Bosnia driving the Serbians crazy; picked up a graduate degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology; and in an exciting change-up as a U.S. government civilian, helped launch unmanned science missions as well as manned commercial crew missions to re-supply the International Space Station.
And retired Lt. Col. Jon Bauschlicher is only 67.
