People Moves: Everest Re’s Grace Moves to Allianz; Williamson Adds Role as Head of Everest Reinsurance May 11, 2021
Everest Re Group reports that
Jim Williamson has assumed responsibilities as the head of the Everest Reinsurance Division effective immediately. This is in addition to his roles as executive vice president and group chief operating officer.
Williamson joined Everest in 2020 as the group chief operating officer. He began his insurance career as a casualty underwriter at The Hartford. Over the years, at The Hartford, Chubb, and now Everest, he has worked in all aspects of the property/casualty commercial and consumer lines industry both in the U.S. and internationally. He has also had functional responsibilities for actuarial, technology and claims organizations during his career.
Portevin Appointed Global Head of Allianz Risk Consulting March 3, 2021
The appointment is effective on March 8.

Portevin succeeds the previous global head of ARC, Tina Baacke, who left AGCS at the end of 2020. On an interim basis, Elizaveta Krieg will lead the global property underwriting team, until a permanent successor is confirmed. Currently she is the global practice group leader for Base Industries in this team, based in Munich, Germany.
Prior to becoming global head of Property in 2016, Portevin was global head of Engineering for AGCS from May 2012 to August 2016. Starting his career as an engineering and construction project manager for organizations, including the National Institute for Ocean Science (France) and Jacobs, he joined Allianz France in 2000 as engineering underwriting portfolio manager, before joining AGCS as engineering underwriting manager for France in 2007.
