We ve gone through the frenzy of free agency. The drama of the NFL draft. The revelry of rookie minicamp (OK, that one was a stretch). And now it s time for the outstandingness of organized team activities.
And…I broke alliteration.
Kidding aside, it s an important time for NFL teams: The first gathering of new arrivals and old standbys. For rookie players, it s the first opportunity to interact on the practice field with their veteran counterparts. For new coaches, it s the first chance to install new schemes and put their stamp on a franchise.

Within a span of two months, the Atlanta Hawks went from holding a losing record to potentially starting the playoffs with home-court advantage. It wasn t an easy journey it involved firing a coach, almost trading a rising star and real maturation of younger players who had never won before.
On Feb. 28, the Hawks were on the verge of a shake-up. The team was 14-20. John Collins disagreed with the offense and found himself on the trading block. It seemed Atlanta was on track for another losing season despite its veteran additions and All-Star point guard Trae Young.

The NFL draft has come and gone, and 2021 rosters are beginning to take their final form.
A quarterback-heavy draft class saw eight quarterbacks selected in the first three rounds the most in draft history, according to NFL Research. But there are still several teams that could use a boost under center, and luckily for them, two of the NFC s brightest stars at the position could be on the move.
Here s a look at some potential landing spots for both Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Garoppolo.
Draft weekend was marred by rumors that Rodgers is ready to move on after 16 seasons in Green Bay. ESPN s Adam Schefter said Thursday that the reigning NFL MVP has told people he does not want to return to the franchise in 2021.

New Cleveland Browns cornerback Greg Newsome II has a message for every team that passed on him in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft. The way I feel is if I m not the first pick of the draft, then everyone made a mistake, Newsome told reporters after being selected No. 26 overall on Thursday night.
Newsome was a bit of a surprise pick for Cleveland, though some draft analysts did have him rising up the board throughout the process.
ESPN s Mel Kiper Jr. ranked Newsome as the No. 3 cornerback in this year s class, behind South Carolina s Jaycee Horn and Alabama s Patrick Surtain II. Horn and Surtain came off the board on back-to-back picks at eight and nine.
