Petrol retailers absorb latest increase in petrol price

Wholesale prices for petroleum in Tongatapu increased on 18 April to $3.4616 seniti per litre while the retail price remained the same as March, capped at $3.60 pa'anga per litre. The new pricing means that petrol retailers must absorb the latest increase in the wholesale price of petrol and may not pass on the increase to their customers.

New petroleum prices for December - January

The Tonga Competent Authority (TCA) has approved the new petroleum prices for December 2023 – January 2024, effective today, 18 December 2023. They said there is a large drop in product prices for diesel and kerosene, and a smaller drop for petrol.

Petroleum prices increase for October

An increase in new petroleum prices for October – November will be effective on Wednesday, 18 October, when wholesale petrol, kerosene and diesel will all increase.

Petroleum prices increased for September

The Ministry of Trade and Economic Development advised that the Tonga Competent Authority (TCA) has approved the new petroleum prices for this month, effective from 19 September.

LPG gas price increases for Tongatapu and Vava u

Tongan retail prices for all petroleum products remain unchanged except for Kerosene as compared to the price for June – July 2023, effective from today 18 July 2023, advised the Tonga Competent Authority (TCA). Meanwhile, LPG gas prices for Tongatapu and Vava'u will increase slightly.
