NSW Health alerts about COVID-19 exposure sites have lagged by up to four days behind shopping centre warnings to staff and customers.
Public health experts have raised concerns about the delays, saying they have potentially contributed to the spread of the virus across Sydney.
Health authorities have concluded multiple people had caught the virus in the Campsie Centre shopping mall.
