PETALING JAYA: Former attorney general Tan Sri Tommy Thomas has denied defaming Datuk Seri Najib Razak in his recently released autobiography, My Story: Justice in the Wilderness.
Thomas in his reply to the former prime minister’s letter of demand, seeking a public apology, denied all material allegations in Najib’s letter.
The letter of reply through his lawyers, Tommy Thomas Advocates and Solicitors, noted their client denied he had committed the tort of defamation against your client, as alleged or at all.
“We have instructions to accept service of process. All our client’s rights are reserved, ” read the letter dated Feb 4 that was addressed to Najib’s lawyers Messrs Shafee & Co.
