As we all know, they don t do things by half measures at Legion GAA club - not even with the pandemic s restrictions weighing down on them.
Ingenuity goes a long way when it comes to holding successful events within the guidelines of these strange times, but they had that ingenuity in spades at Legion over the last few days. Just as well, as they needed to get their annual awards out to their worthy recipients.
There were awards for playing achievements, of course. Deirdre Lyne was the senior female player of the year, while the junior equivalent was shared between Orlaith O Connor and Shonadh Doody.
