Some wait until April for earliest COVID-19 vaccine appointments

CHARLOTTE, N.C. Vaccine supply isn t keeping up with demand, according to state and local health officials, and some of our most vulnerable are now waiting until April to roll up their sleeves.
North Carolina s top health official, Dr. Mandy Cohen, has pointed out the difficulty the state has had in receiving adequate vaccine from the federal government s Operation Warp Speed.

David A. Clayton, 70, of Crossville and formerly of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020, at his home.
He was born March 9, 1950, to the late Clyde and Ruth Witt Clayton. He was also preceded in death by his sisters: Bobbie Berry, Mary Jo Wright and Ova Lee Yates.
He was a former owner of a car parts store in Spencer, and most recently worked at Flowers Bakery in Crossville. He was an avid football fan, he loved to read and work crossword puzzles and work on cars.
He is survived by his daughters: Brittany Michaels and her husband, Christopher, and Megan Clayton; and his brothers: Tommy Clayton and Jackie Clayton.
