And he wasn’t looking to own a bike shop. But fate conspired on both counts 47 years ago, when he became co-owner of Genesis Bicycles in Easton. “When we opened, I was in my teens. I don’t think that anybody ever expected Genesis to be around long,” said the 65-year-old. He outlasted the flight of businesses and residents to the suburbs and did his small part to bring the city back to prosperity.
