Gibraltar is having a moment
Remember that original green travel list the government published back in May, the one with places like Brunei, South Sandwich Islands, St Helena, Tristan de Cunha and Ascension Island on it? Oh and Australia and New Zealand, both of whom had already made it clear they aren’t keen to see us again until at least Summer 2022?
Well, that was the first time I’d thought about Gibraltar - which also featured on the list, along with a very few others - in a long time. But think of it I did, intrigued by the fact that this tiny British overseas territory at the tip of Spain, best known for once being the ultimate tax haven and as the place John and Yoko got hitched in 1969, seemed to be handling the Covid crisis terribly well.
