A plan for 28 residential homes off Station Road in Ashwell has been refused by NHDC

Plans to build 28 new homes in Ashwell have been refused by North Hertfordshire District Council s planning control committee.
In a meeting last night (May 27), NHDC councillors voted unanimously in favour of the recommendation that the development be refused.
The proposed land development site, which sits off Station Road, would see 28 residential dwellings, along with landscaping including pond, wildflower meadow and woodland and associated infrastructure.

A CHARITY Christmas song is spreading the festive spirit whilst also fundraising hundreds of pounds for two vital charities. Dawn Oliver, from Whitehaven, has released an original Christmas song complete with a festive music video to get people in the holiday spirit whilst raising money for charities close to her heart. She is raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and the British Heart Foundation after two people close to her became ill earlier this year. So far, It’s Christmas Time has raised more than £470 for Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and £130 for the British Heart Foundation. Dawn said: “That’s just donations from people listening to it on the Facebook page, some people have bought CDs which are available in Milltech Computers and WestWays Garage.
