Photo: The Additive Manufacturing Users Group. The Additive Manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) will install its 2021-2022 Board of Directors on July 1. The board’s primary responsibilities will be to build and oversee the 2022 AMUG Conference and to implement a new organizational structure that will support growth of this annual event. The ten-member board is comprised of elected and appointed positions. AMUG members elected eight individuals during the annual conference that was held in Orlando, Florida. Carl Dekker of Met-L-Flo, who has previously served two terms as vice-president, will serve a second term in the role of President. Paul Bates of ASTM International will retain the past President position. Andrew Allshorn of AT 3D-SQUARED was re-elected for a second term as Vice-President.

AMUG Conference 2021 Relocated to Florida Published on December 10, 2020 by Today, the Additive manufacturing Users Group (AMUG) announced that its annual in-person conference had to be relocated and postponed. The AMUG conference will now take place in Orlando, Florida, from the 2nd to the 6th of May, 2021, at the Hilton Orlando. The Additive Manufacturing User Group association has been organizing this eagerly-awaited yearly conference since the 1990s. Once solely focused on the advancement of stereolithography (SLA) – the first 3D printing technology to emerge – its aim today is to educate and support users of all additive manufacturing technologies, regardless of their experience level. In fact, this is the key feature of the conference: it focuses exclusively on users. Each year the AMUG conferences provides a forum for presentations of new technologies, new processes, new machines, and much more.
