WAUKESHA - Don Taylor, who served a quarter century as president of Waukesha State Bank, certainly didn t always wax nostalgic about his past role in one of the city s most impactful and historic financial institutions. I can t say I miss anything about it, Taylor said while joining in a discussion about the bank s 75th anniversary celebration in 2019.
Maybe that s partly because Taylor who served as WSB president from 1969 to 1994 and worked at some capacity at the bank since its inception in 1944, helping modernize the bank s operations in the computer-driven era that helped secure its future didn t center his life strictly on the banking business.
