New Yorkers are begging to take their martinis to-go, and bars and restaurants are catering to the demand with covert paper cups, specials for in-the-know customers and even hotel martini carts.
Australian cuisine restaurant Isla & Co. in West Palm Beach is serving the Kangaroo Tucker, which is made with skewers of kangaroo tenderloin encrusted with traditional Australian spice rub and served over a bed of herbed tahini, marinated cucumbers and pickled onions, with pops of golden-brown lentils and fried chickpeas.
Among new restaurants: The fast-casual Tex-Mex franchise Bubbakoo’s Burritos debuted Feb. 10 in Miramar Park Place; Le Colonial in Delray Beach, a luxe time capsule to 1920s French Colonial Vietnam, soft-opened on Feb. 15 within the Atlantic Crossing shopping village.
