COLUMBUS, Ohio A top official at the Ohio state auditor’s office told state lawmakers Thursday that his office encountered problems getting reliable information from Ohio’s unemployment benefits program at a level not seen since the “Coingate” scandal.

CLEVELAND, Ohio Cuyahoga County Sheriff David Schilling and Prosecutor Michael O’Malley have filed a lawsuit asking the Ohio Supreme Court to order the state prison system to admit all inmates from the Cuyahoga County Jail who have received prison sentences after the state stopped accepting some inmates due to an earlier coronavirus outbreak within the jail in April.
