I had a blast earlier today partnering with Mindy from Lite Rock 99.3 and District Chief of Special Operations, Tom Neidert, of our very own Brevard County Fire Rescue, to conduct the live auction during the “Purses With A Purpose” event benefiting Serene Harbor and their mission to end Domestic Violence.
The annual “Dancing For The Space Coast” event is sponsored by the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office, L3 Harris Corporation, Space Coast Daily, and the Florida Institute of Technology, in partnership to help local charities in Brevard County. This year’s recipients of the proceeds from “Dancing For The Space Coast” that was held on Saturday, June 4, were The Children’s Hunger Project, Astronaut Memorial Foundation, and the Sheriff’s Pet Posse. As a result of incredible and generous community support, our great sponsors, and the hard work of our dancers, each organization was recently presented a check in the amount of $54,335.62.
Brevard County's signature fundraising annual event, “Dancing For the Space Coast,” was presented Saturday night at Florida Tech's Clemente Center to an enthusiastic who's-who sold-out crowd of more than 800 people.
With a sold out crowd ready to pack inside the Clemente Center, one of the dancers in this year’s event is New York native Jessica Cartagena Assam has called Florida home since 1986 and has lived in Melbourne since 2007.
With only a couple weeks to go, the 2023 ‘Dancing for the Space Coast’ dancers are preparing for their final dance routines with their dance instructors for the charity event on June 3 at Florida Tech’s Clemente Center.
