The first time was in 1984, when democrats chose Geraldine Ferraro. 24 years later, republicans nominated then Alaska Governor sarah palin. Here are their speeches. With an update on the coronavirus pandemic the u. S. Once again set to pass another grim marker with a 141,000 americans dead from the virus across america nearly 60,000 people were hospitalized with infections. The cdc now forecasting more than a 157,000 americans will likely be killed by the virus by august 8th, has just in a few weeks time and now as Health Officials and government leaders push for americans to mask up.
