Actor David Boreanaz, who famously played Angel on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” is the latest cast member to express support for former costar Charisma Carpenter, who alleged misconduct by series producer Joss Whedon.
Carpenter, known for her breakout role as Buffy’s high school nemesis Cordelia Chase, accused Whedon of creating a hostile environment on set, which she alleged included retaliatory behavior and harassment during her pregnancy.

Former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actors Danny Strong, Adam Busch and Tom Lenk also spoke up after the actress allegations.
David Boreanaz has spoken out on the misconduct allegations against Joss Whedon, joining a growing group of former
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and
Angel castmembers to support their former co-star Charisma Carpenter.
Danny Strong, Adam Busch and Tom Lenk the Trio of villains from season six of Buffy also lent their support online for Carpenter, as did her former
Angel co-star Amy Acker.
Last week, Carpenter accused Whedon of traumatizing her on set and creating an environment that was both hostile and toxic.
Angel gained massive attention and support from many women who shared the set with her on
Buffy. Amber Benson, Michelle Trachtenberg, Emma Caulfield, and Sarah Michelle Gellar spoke out to varying degrees calling out Whedon and acknowledging how toxic and traumatic their time on Buffy was. But it left us wondering where the men were speaking up about Whedon.
Since that time, several of Carpenter’s male co-stars have spoken up in support of her, and other men have made it clear that Whedon’s toxicity didn’t just apply to actors.
Two of Carpenter’s
Angel co-stars, J. August Richards, who played Gunn, and David Boreanaz, who played the titular character, have spoken in support of Carpenter.
‘Barb & Star’ Film Review: Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo Go to Cloud Cuckoo Land
“…Go to Vista Del Mar” plays by its own rules of absurdism and rides that wave all the way to shoreAlonso Duralde | February 11, 2021 @ 6:00 PM Last Updated: February 21, 2021 @ 1:57 PM

Barb and Star do indeed go to Vista Del Mar in “Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” but viewers are advised to put their maps away and let the movie follow its own deranged path. A goofy and absurdist comedy in which anything can happen, and it usually will, Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo’s long-awaited follow-up to the 2011 hit “Bridesmaids” absolutely plays by its own rules.
