STATE COLLEGE Colin Bechtel, son of Curtis and Katie Bechtel, of State College, recently received his Eagle Scout Award, at a ceremony at the American Legion Post 245 in State College. Colin is a member of State College Boy Scout Troop 245, under the leadership of Scoutmaster Donald Watkins.
Colin has volunteered over 250 service hours to help others in his community. In addition, he has served his Troop as Guide, Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader, as well as earning 28 Merit Badges.
For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Colin planned and implemented the installation of a bike rack, and landscaping of an entry area, for Our Lady of Victory Catholic School in State College, Pa.
