De Pere, Wis. St. Norbert College will host a virtual panel discussion on “Fratelli Tutti: Pope Francis’ Letter on Friendship” at 6:30 p.m. today.
In his third encyclical, Fratelli Tutti, Pope Francis reflects on a topic of great importance: human solidarity and friendship. After his election to the papacy, Pope Francis first greeted the world with the words “fratelli e sorelle” “brothers and sisters.” In this encyclical, he continues to address all men and women as his brothers and sisters, calling us to consider what our common brotherhood requires of us.
The public can join a panel discussion led by St. Norbert theology and religious studies professors Tom Bolin, Karen Park and Howard Ebert as they examine different aspects of the encyclical. The event will be moderated by St. Norbert dean of humanities Jennifer Hockenberry and senior theology and religious studies student Cole Johnson as they examine different aspects of the encyclical.
