A NEW £3.1m housing scheme offering accommodation for over 55s has been completed in Connah’s Quay and is ready for occupancy. Thirty modern apartments have been constructed as part of the regeneration of the derelict Albion Hotel, a brownfield site at Connah’s Quay, to meet identified needs for over 55s in the region. The scheme, operated by ClwydAlyn Housing, has been designed in accordance with the Welsh Government’s Design Quality Requirements (DQR), Lifetime Homes Standards and has achieved Secure by Design Gold Standard. It forms part of ClwydAlyn’s large-scale development investment plans across the region to provide a wide-range of affordable housing solutions, addressing the wider issues surrounding a local and national homes shortage.

Place North West | Anwyl, Lovell picked for £200m framework

Dan Whelan Your Housing Group has appointed the housebuilders to a partner framework to help meet its target of delivering 600 homes a year over the next four years.  Over the course of the framework period, Anwyl Partnerships and Lovell Homes will construct up to five projects a year across the north of England, valued between £10m and £20m. The framework was created in order to facilitate the expansion of Your Housing Group’s private rented sector across the North West, Yorkshire and the Midlands. Both firms have experience in delivering projects for registered housing providers. North Wales-based Anwyl Partnerships is working with developer Torus to deliver around 200 homes on the site of the former Rock Ferry High School in Wirral and last December, the firm completed 31 affordable apartments in Colwyn Bay for Welsh housing association Clwyd Alyn.

Work starts on 119 new homes in Runcorn

Work starts on 119 new homes in Runcorn WORK has started on a scheme to build 119 homes in Runcorn. Anwyl Partnerships, specialists in the provision of residential land and build developments, has started work at Halton Court, a 119-unit residential scheme in Runcorn under a £14.3m contract in partnership with Magenta Living and Onward Homes. The development includes a mix of two, three-and four-bedroom homes in a community which has been identified as needing a boost to the supply of homes available for shared ownership and affordable rent.  Work at Halton Court had stalled during the summer months following the original appointed contractor falling into administration. Anwyl Partnerships and Onward Homes, together with Magenta Living, have since negotiated the contract to reduce further delays and allowed work to begin.
