Ex-Australia Post boss Christine Holgate has a new job at a parcel deliveries business.
She s joining Toll Global Express as the new CEO and plans to grow its eCommerce sales and delivery operations in competition with her old employer. It s doing something I absolutely love, which is growing a business, it s a big national infrastructure business, so it s all about eCommerce and trade and they are things I m passionate about, she told Nine News on Monday.
Asked if she thought Australia Post might be a bit worried, Ms Holgate said she hoped they will give me a bit more of their business . competition actually does make you a bit stronger .

Ousted Australia Post chief executive Christine Holgate has landed a new role at a multi-billion-dollar freight and parcel rival, following her controversial departure from the company.
Speaking on Today, Ms Holgate said she was now keen to help Toll Global Express eat away at more of Australia Post s core business.
Ms Holgate was today appointed future Group Chief Executive Officer of Global Express, which has $3 billion in annual revenues and employs 8000 workers in Australia and New Zealand.

Australian PE firm, Allegro Funds is all set to acquire Japan Post and Toll Group’s Australian freight and freight forwarding arm, Toll Global Express, subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions, as per the reports.
Toll Global Express could end up in Australian hands if a buyout from private equity firm Allegro Funds goes through.
