The victim said the accused were insisting he let them pass without paying but when he stood his ground, they hit him with metal rods. After the incident that took place on Thursday afternoon, the 35-yearold toll plaza staffer Shailendra Shishode, who resides near the toll plaza, has lodged a complaint with Talegaon Dabhade police station.
