DARIEN A take-out and casual Mexican restaurant based in Greenwich is looking to expand into Darien in the new development called Darien Place.
Details for the project were presented at Tuesday’s Planning & Zoning meeting. Darien Place owner Jon Vaccaro, who also owns the property that houses Roost, bought the property at 1077 Boston Post Road for $11,300,000 in January 2020.
Holyoke police investigate two Friday shootings

Holyoke police are investigating two Friday shooting incidents, one that sent a victim to the hospital with a gunshot wound. Information about the second incident is incomplete at this time.
Holyoke Police Captain Matthew Moriarty said at about 4:15 p.m. Friday police investigated a report of what appeared to be a bullet hole in a car parked in the area of 542 South Bridge St.
The caller told police she heard what she thought was a gunshot at about 3 p.m. As officers and detectives worked at the scene at about 4:48 p.m., police headquarters received a report of a walk-in gunshot victim at the Holyoke Medical Center.

An erratic driver who nearly struck a tree and hopped a curb in Fairfield County was allegedly under the influence when he was stopped by police in Darien, investigators said.
Officers from the Darien Police Department responded to the intersection of Tokeneke Road and Post Road shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, where there was a report of a blue Toyota Camry that was making poor turns and driving erratically.
Police said that a patrol officer located the vehicle traveling West on Post Road before turning onto Center Street, doing so in a wide manner and nearly mounting the sidewalk on the side of the roadway, prompting a traffic stop.
