thing. lot of people are giving them credit for doing that. they had to. the scandal at the university has been boiling over. anger on campus. fraternity members may have seen this by now seen on video singing this racist song. not just students who are angry. the university president calls the frat brothers a disgrace. abc s ryan owens is there. reporter: it is more than moving day at the sigma alpha epsilon fraternity house at university of oklahoma. the greek letters have come down. the fraternity is kicked off campus. reporter: all after this 9-second video showing sae members in tuxedos chanting the n word and implying blacks should be lynched rather than be in their fraternity. the video went viral sunday night after it was texted anonymously to a group of african-american students on campus. this is not anything that happened overnight.
indicating that african-americans would never be admitted to the fraternity. the video was reportedly shot this saturday and posted on youtube by an organization called unheard. an alliance of african-american students. it is unclear how it was obtained. oklahoma s president said the students behavior on the bus was disgraceful and all ties between the university and sae have been severed. as they pack their bags, i hope they think long and hard about what they have done. i think, i hope they think long and hard about how word can injure and hurt other people. reporter: students and staff gathered for a peaceful protest. we re disgusted that these type of events happen on campus. reporter: the university president said there will be an investigation as to whether additional actions will be taken against the fraternity members. it will take time.
