can you convince americans that if they put you and other republicans in charge of the house, next year, that you ll be true to your conservative roots? you know, joe, yes, we can. and i will say, if you go out there and look across the country, we have over 10 # 0 new candidates. they re emerging leaders. they re exciting. they are energetic. are they conservative? yes, they are do they believe in small government? yes, yes, joe, and they are also true to those principles. that s what i think caused our firing in 06. so, you ll admit, republicans lost and they deserved to lose? absolutely. and we ve had to learn a lot. and are we the republican party that we were in 06? absolutely not. are you going to put toget r together we ve heard the possibility of a contract with america type deal where all of these candidates sign it and say, if we come up to washington, these are ten items we re going to vote on it. you can take our word on it.
