0 their existing relationship with their doctor they ve been seeing for years, hurting businesses that have been growing. it s so damaging that people of the irs are begging to be let out from under this law. this is a critical moment. if we re not willing to fight on this issue, what issue are we willing to fight on? i kind of feel the same way as you do, senator. senator coburn says it s not an achievable strategy. it just wouldn t work. some of the spending would be mandatory. as a matter of fact, a significant portion. and only a small percentage of obama care funding would be discretionary. is there a way around that? there is. the house needs to pass a short-term budget that has attached to it a bill. now, the argument he would make and others is that harry reid and the senate democrats will never go for that. we shouldn t go for any budget that doesn t defund obama care and the only budget out there for us to consider would be the one that came over from the house. beyond th
0 this is hurting all americans. what own view labor unions, workers for the irs coming out against this, workers sent up to capitol hill to calm people down, you realize how much it s already hurting our country. for me this is the last best chance. we have to do this. if we don t at leeftz try to do this, the impact it s going have on our economy, some of it is going to be irreversible. and it s costing billions. the president got rid of the employee mandate that s costing $12 billion. think about the people who have health insurance now and they re happy with it. they re going to lose that health insurance. they have a doctor they ve been seeing for the last 15 or 20 years. won t be able to keep going to that doctor. i think of working-class americans who are right now work 40g hours a week that because of obama care are going to be cut back to 29 hours a week. i think about the small businesses that want to expand and grow but are afraid to do so because it wows trigger the oba
congregation. fox & friends starts right now. good morning, everybody, thanks so much for joining us. mike jerrick is back again filling in for clayton. tucker carlson is here and we ve all been tracking the city because we can t move with all the snow that s surrounded the tri state area. 40 inches, in all of my years of broadcasting, i don t think i ve reported one pound in the lower 48, but 40 inches. alisyn: is that right? i think anna has those computations. tucker: and this is a time-lapsed video with the camera attached to the ruler. as the snow passes, the snow gets higher, higher, ultimately burying that clock. alisyn: and old school. look at that technology and roads are left undrivable and many people are without power as we mentioned. anna kooiman is live with an update. reporter: good morning, you guys and good morning to everybody at home. folks in the northeast are still dealing with a tremendous amount of snow and some folks trapped in their
ainsley: while some people are busy trying to erase christmas from our culture, one church in the south is keeping christmas alive. literally with people singing from its branches. rick: fox news radio todd sterns has more. baptist church in memphis has a reputation for doing big things. they have three big crosses. they have a big bible verse. they have a big congregation. and they have a really big christmas tree. . it is 44 feet tall, over 100,000 lights, all driven by a computer program. the sipping christmas tree is a mid south holiday tradition, been around since 1976, a cast of more than 400 people and many of them are not even old enough to drive. i think it s pretty amazing that just this church and how we
it s all very contemporary. we have all different kinds of music and costumes and make-up and lights. . even though the singing christmas tree is broadway quality, there is one major difference. we hope that people will see a great show. but as we talk about all during rehearsals, it s not a show for a show sake. it really is about telling people the good news of jesus christ and that they would be different if they remember the name of a cast member, then we ve missed it. but if they remember the name of jesus christ and accept him into their life and let him change their life, families will be different, lives will be different. and that s our real hope. for fox & friends, i m todd starnes. clayton: thank you so much. coming up on the show, this former marine once chain to do a bed in prison for
