Fire Department Makes Quick Work on 2nd Street South Blaze

Kenora, ON, Canada / 89.5 The Lake Dec 21, 2020 10:34 AM The Kenora Fire and Emergency Services Department says it managed to put a blaze out to a building on Second Street South. Fire chief Todd Skene says it started as an outside fire just after midnight. Shortly after smoke was seen coming from the second-floor apartments. The fire was contained to the outside walls and the floor area of the second story. In the meantime, the OPP say 51-year-old Donald Hill of Kenora has been charged with one count of Arson-disregard for Human life. Two people were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
