Live from the cbs bay area studios this is kpix5 news. Tonight a san jose murder suspect escapes from his cell, escapes the fence while in handcuffs. Betty yu tells us he ran straight into serious trouble, the chief. Reporter a day in the office, not for taking down a bad guy on the street, but he is a top cop and a Department Spokesperson said he did what any officer would have done this morning. A 26yearold san jose man made the bold escape all while his hands were still in cuffs. Police say Hector Flores arias managed to slip out of the station through the holding cell door which should lock automatically. He slipped his handcuffs around from behind before scaling a tall barbed wire fence, but then he ran into a problem, the police cliff in the parking lot. A Department Spokesperson says Larry Esquivel immediately saw that something wasnt right when he pulled in past the gates for work this morning. Calendar says february but it felt like september in San Francisco, stunningly beautiful. i went to the beach into the day off the work and couldnt be better. i moved here from the east coast so this is very different considering the blizzard back of their. i just got out of my day job and i left pretty early around 4 00 and i came all the way from downtown to hear which took me about 50 minutes all the way through was beautiful. my family is in from out of town and they put to pick a great weekend said come out here. this is great with, or visiting from washington d. C. And, i couldnt have expected anything better. The beach was great in the cliffs were beautiful. look at the weather out there. The sun is perfect out there.
