Perez wants to be a Hall of Famer. He’s open about this. His case needs work, and this is a quick and superficial way to look at it but at the same age he has slightly better offensive numbers, one fewer Gold Glove and one fewer World Series ring than Yadier Molina. Although this Christmas will be different from any in history, there will be ways to celebrate.
More than any other time of year, Americans visit a church or attend a religious celebration at Christmastime. Polls show that about 60% of Americans attend some type of service in honor of the Christian holiday each year.
Due to the pandemic, many local residents are either out of the habit of attending regular services or may be uncertain where to safely attend a service.
The recent spike in COVID-19 cases won’t completely shut down the spirit of Christmas, however. Churches across Topeka, already accustomed to adapting their plans and thinking creatively, are making sure options are available this year.
