South Royalton barn fire under investigation, Vermont State Police say Modified: 4/13/2021 9:50:02 PM SOUTH ROYALTON Vermont State Police are investigating a fire that started in the back of a South Royalton barn Friday afternoon, according to a release from the state police. No injuries were reported in the fire, which was called in around 3:15 p.m. Friday by a person who saw flames at the back of the barn on 246 Pleasant St., the release said. The Royalton Fire Department responded to the blaze and extinguished the flames quickly, limiting the damage to “one section of the exterior and a small section on the interior,” of the barn, the release said. The property, which is owned by Jon Tuller, sits on a little under an acre of land and has two buildings: the barn and a detached residence, according to property records.
