Sacramento man dies in single-car crash on I-80 at Oday
DIXON The driver of a Mazda 6 died when his car collided Thursday with a bridge abutment on westbound Interstate 80 at Oday Road, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The driver, 27, whose name was being withheld pending notification of family, was not wearing a safety belt. He was from Sacramento.
The incident occurred at about 5:50 a.m. The CHP does not know what caused the driver to leave the roadway.
The cause of this crash is under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the CHP at 1-800-835-5247 or the CHP Solano Area Office directly at 428-2100.

DIXON, CA A Sacramento man died early Thursday morning when his car went off Interstate Highway 80 near Dixon, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash involving a blue Mazda 6 sedan was reported at 5:50 a.m. on westbound I-80 at Oday Road, CHP Officer David Harvey said.
The Mazda left the roadway for unknown reasons and collided with part of the freeway bridge, Harvey said.
