Over 40,000 Persons in Trinidad and Tobago have Received the First Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine Port of Spain, 28 April, 2021: The Ministry of Health advises that Trinidad and Tobago has exceeded the initial COVID-19 vaccination target as, to date, 42,082 persons have received the first dose of the vaccine.  The remaining doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will be used for the second dose. Thus, the population will be advised when additional doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are available. Healthcare workers, people with  non-communicable diseases and those who are 60 years and older may contact the various COVID-19 Vaccination Facilities, via the call-in or WhatsApp numbers, to be included in the list of eligible persons who are interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine when new stock is available. The Ministry of Health will continue to update the public on the roll out of the national COVID-19 vaccination programme. 

Trinidad and Tobago Launches Two Mass Vaccination Sites | Trinidad and Tobago Government News

Port of Spain, April 24 th, 2021: The Ministry of Health hails the successful establishment of the first two mass vaccination sites for the administration of the COVID-19 vaccines in Trinidad and Tobago.  The vaccination sites at the Paddock, Queen’s Park Savannah and the National Racquet Centre of Trinidad and Tobago in Tacarigua began operations on 22 nd April, 2021 and provide increased COVID-19 vaccine access for members of the public.  These vaccination sites have been added to the 24 existing Designated COVID-19 Vaccination Health Facilities. On the first day of operations, 346 persons were vaccinated at the Tacarigua site from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm using 6 vaccination stations. At the Paddock, Queen’s Park Savannah 716 persons with existing appointments received the vaccine. The site operated with 12 vaccination stations from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
