GODFREY The Nature Institute’s (TNI) popular Discovery Day Camp opens for enrollment this week.
The 39-year-old 700-acre camp at TNI, 2213 S. Levis Lane, in Godfrey includes programs for campers and their families in nature. TNI’s camp is certified as an Illinois Nature Preserve.
Camp registration opens Thursday, March 18, for TNI members and Friday, March 19, for non-members. According to TNI Education Director Emily Ehley, Discovery Day Camp takes place one week at a time during June and July, with the exception of the week of July 4.
“We’ll keep groups at no more than 10, spaced out and separate from each other throughout the day, and we’ll be outdoors the entire time,” Ehley said. “We’ll be masking whenever we’re close to each other. All staff and campers will have masks and we’ll have extras as necessary.”
