Tomball City Council approves additional retail for annexed land By Paul Wedding, Staff writer
Tomball City Council members approved annexing an additional piece of land to the city during their Jan. 18 meeting, which was zoned as general retail to allow for planned stores in the area.
The land annexed is comprised of about 3.1 acres and is located at the northeast corner of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road and Spell Road.
Community Development Director Craig Meyers told council members the land annexed, previously not zoned, was requested by the owner TN Associates to be zoned as commercial. The land is surrounded by neighborhood residential zones to its north and south as well as an industrial district in the west.
