good afternoon. i think it could be closer than that. the average of recent polls has it tight. a couple of points. i will say there s a mix. it seems like a lot of republican voters here are rallying back, putting on their jerseys and saying this is about fighting for control of the u.s. senate. herschel walker faces the allegations that he s talked about. there s a new one out today. he s going to address that later on on our show. we ll be asking about that. he s fighting on the main issues that republicans all over the coupry are fighting on. that is inflation, the economy, crime and immigration and all of those resonate here in georgia. martha: one of the things that we will be watching closely and we ve been through this before in georgia, whether or not it s headed to a run-off. r raphael warnock addressed this
live here inside the historic civic club of harrisburg where in moments we will replay some of last night s debate for our live voter panel and we ll get their reaction as we sit here 13 days from election day. also, the republican senator in this state, pat toomey, leaves that seat open for oz or fetterman. he joins us live as well. first, bryan llenas takes a look at the debate that everyone is talking about today. hi, bryan. martha, good afternoon. one of those moments that everyone is talking about is when lieutenant governor john fetterman was pressed on his stance on fracking. last night he said he has always supported fracking. but in 2018, he said he did not and never has. i absolutely support fracking. that you said i don t support fracking at all.
yeah, so first off, i m blessed to be married to an amazing wife, stacy, a medical doctor. we understand that women s healthcare is far more than abortion. we need to be able to have healthcare for women that goes all the way from birth throughout all life stages. i m a pro lifer. i believe in exceptions for rape and insist. i believe like dr. oz said, this is an issue for the states. that s something that should be left to our pennsylvania state legislature. martha: all right. jeremy schaffer, thanks very much. good to have you with us. we ll be watching your race. thank you. martha: coming up, bret baier with a special spotlight. bret is in georgia, home to another one of the four toss-up senate races that we re watching in our fox news power rankings. bret is up next.
crime. that s a hot political issue and one that voters will make their decisions on when it comes to election day. martha: we ll talk to some of them in a few minutes. thanks, josh. so retiring republican senator pat toomey, whose seat is the one that is so hotly contested. good to have you here today. what did you think about the debate last night? well, several things. like i think most pennsylvanians watching this, it was sad. it was sad to see john fetterman struggling and in such rough shape. honestly, this is a guy that really should be focused on trying to recover from what was obviously a horrific stroke. and it was a painful and difficult thing to watch. that said, there is a record. he has been on record for he ran tried to run for this seat in 2016 when he was defeated in a primary. there s a long history.
they know we re going down a bad path. martha: let s take a look at matt cartwright. talking about border policies and his take on immigration. i m proud to have supported two major border security bills that were signed in to law by president trump to security our border even though some in my own party did not support those things. i voted for over a billion dollars to build a wall on our southern border. martha: so that s your opponent talking about building a wall on the southern border. he s been caught in a lie. when the big vote came up for the border wall, he voted against it. president trump said he s a disaster on a illegal immigration. matt cartwright has enabled illegal immigration. he voted for a $1,200 stimulus
