it is 6:00 a.m. in cairo. what you are looking at is a live shot of cairo. we have been live witnesses to remarkable scenes from this exclusive live shot we have right now overlooking the square and the october 6th bridge in downtown cairo. the scenes of running battles. we have watched pitched battles waged on the streets of cairo between anti-government protesters and those loyal to egyptian president, mubarak. it has been going on all day long and appears to have been escalated in the last few hours in front of our cameras. heavy gunfire from automatic weapons testing throughout the area of cairo s square. molotov cocktails been thrown back and forth and people hit by molotov cocktails and set on fire to put those flames out. what appears to be hand-to-hand combat. all the while the egyptian army, which has remained on the sidelines have been firing warning shots. it is not always possible to know where the gunfire is coming from, exactly where it is aimed. from our correspondents o
