The 36th Guam Legislature released a bipartisan list of priorities for the anticipated $664 million in American Rescue Plan funding May 7. It was signed by all 15 senators and addressed to Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero, who requested to meet with the Legislature May 11 to discuss policy priorities for the money.
A joint statement from Speaker Therese Terlaje and Minority Leader Chris Duenas stated that American Rescue Plan funds presented an opportunity to truly affect people s lives.
Outlined in the list are desired allocations towards the following areas:
$68 million direct assistance to individuals and families affected by the pandemic;
over $233 million to expand health care services;
