The Washington University College Democrats and WashU College Republicans (WUCR) debated abortion, gun violence, climate change, the Israel-Hamas war, and the Russia-Ukraine war in their semesterly Campus Crossfire in Tisch Commons, April 24.
Student Union hosted a Financial Overview detailing spending and income, future financial plans for the University, and how tuition is used in Tisch Commons on March 28.
Students of various faiths filled Tisch Commons for the Interfaith Iftar, a dinner where Muslim students broke their fasts as student speakers discussed their faiths and fasting customs. Iftar, generally, is a fast-breaking meal during Ramadan.
The College of Arts & Sciences Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) hosted a kick-off event to celebrate the start of Black History Month from 7-9 p.m. in Tisch Commons, Feb. 1. This is the first time that Washington University has held an event recognizing the start of Black History Month.
Members of the Greenwood Cemetery Preservation Association will receive the annual Rosa L. Parks Award during Washington University in St. Louis' Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 15, at Graham Chapel.
