Five youths including two minors were arrested in Coimbatore for attempting to murder a youth at Podanur. The incident involved a gang attacking the victim with a sickle due to personal reasons. A 52-year-old man was arrested for cultivating marijuana (ganja) plants at his residence in Kullakkapalayam near Pollachi. Police seized 13 ganja plants used for personal and sales purposes.
