Tirumala Special Entry Darshan Tickets Restricted To 15K Devotees Apr 19, 2021, 12:38 IST
TIRUMALA: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Board has decided to cap the Special Entry or the Seeghra Darshan ticket quota to 15,000 per day from the usual 25,000, to reduce the footfall of pilgrims in the Tirumala temple. This was done owing to the rise in Coronavirus cases in Chittoor district after the second wave surge.
The TTD had released the April quota of Rs 300 Special Entry/Seeghra Darshan tickets in March end and the release of the reduced tickets will be released on April 20 for the May quota.
Effectively the number of devotees will further shrink down to 15,000 devotees a day from May 1.
