while the documents were shown to be fakes, kate and another reporter at the the new york times interviewed the general s secretary who said well, you know, that s exactly what he was saying at the time in the office and he did have documents though i didn t type them. in that case and others that i m aware of, there have been cases where you take a document you know is real, and we recreate what will be exposed as a fabrication to discredit the issue. so the broader thing to me at this moment is, governor paul lepage in maine, a big trump supporters with tells the media something. let s flood the tip lines with fake tips and times saying the that the white house tried to do this. i know people who have said the white house has attempted to shop them fake story to get them to run it so they can rebut them because it is a valuable,
i would raise one point about the tip lines that all these newspapers and other media outlets have set up. they set up and say you can contact us secretly and provide us information. is there a problem with that? you know, there s one glitch in that. you know, if it s anonymous, then and you can t speak to the other person on the line, it s difficult to take steps to protect them. that s what the intercept said happened. they didn t know who this person was who slipped them a document. right. it s difficult to protect them. they didn t know. but like i said before, you know, you have to think seriously, look, if you re going to publish a top secret document that s the clearest evidence yet to the government that classified information has been made public, and that is a road map to who might have handled it. so you have to think seriously about what you re going to publish, and do you want to give the government that road map? listen, hold on, reporters are

no, absolutely not. immigrants can report crimes on anonymous tip lines. there s plenty of community outreach that police departments do nowadays. crime reporting is a problem across all ethnicities, types of people in the community. if they want to increase trust for the whole community, all law enforcement agencies ought to be working together to make sure that the laws are enforced. immigrants don t want criminals among them anymore than anybody else does, so the whole thing is really just a made-up excuse to obstruct immigration enforcement that they disagree with on a political level. all right. so good to have you with us. thanks so much. thanks. all right. how many presidential candidates can you name? paul, paul. paul i forgot their
