The European Women s Audiovisual Network to host its Annual Members Meeting virtually on 25 February
16/02/2021 - The online gathering, set to replace the traditional event taking place during the Berlinale, will offer a two-part programme and an informal networking initiative open to invited professionals
Since 2013, EWA (European Women s Audiovisual Network) has grown as a strong and supportive community for women audiovisual professionals across Europe. In this special year, the organisation s Annual Members Meeting will be held entirely online on 25 February and is set to replace the traditional gathering that normally takes place on site during the Berlinale.
The programme will consist of two parts. The first half will focus on the current issues of gender equality and diversity. The second one will be broken down into two thematic talks designed exclusively for EWA Network members. The initiative will be rounded off by an informal networking event open to invited professio
When East Meets West launches its Digital World
In just a few days’ time, starting on 25 January, the 11
th edition of When East Meets West (WEMW) will welcome more than 650 professionals from 58 different countries, who will have access to the new “Out of the Box” version of the leading co-production market.
Everything will unfold in the so-called WEMW Digital World, where all the pieces of the programme are laid out as a jigsaw puzzle (find out more here). This is the first time that this customised platform, created in collaboration with WYTH, has been used for a film-industry event, and the goal is to offer an immersive and playful experience to all participants. Just like the landmark location of the market, the Savoia Hotel in Trieste, the platform will become a single-venue destination offering access to all live-streamed events and screenings, and even more importantly, it will offer participants the chance to interact and video-chat instantly with everyone.
