A WIRRAL charity for people with learning disabilities can now develop services further after a National Lottery boost. Payable over four years, the £397,709 will help Wirral Mencap reach many more people in the communities it serves than ever before. It will also help fund two full-time posts within the Birkenhead-based charity; the current Information and Advice Manager Tina Phelan and a new case worker, both of whom will work alongside volunteers, who will reach out into the community to help make services more accessible for people with a learning disability.
