Personally, I’ve always loved a trouser suit. When I landed my dream job as editor of a glossy, my first purchase was a slouchy, single-breasted chocolate suit by Jil Sander.
I posed in it for the photograph printed at the front of the magazine every month. My suit meant I was ready for anything. I was in control. Better than any man.
I was sacked less than three years later, but you get my drift. A trouser suit gives off the aura you’re not to be messed with.
You’re neither girly nor flirty. But, boy, can it be sexy. Just think of singer Dua Lipa in that YSL tux in the Libre fragrance ad so much sultrier than a corset.
