Reed Smith Hires Stephenson Harwood Int l Arbitration Pro
Law360 (May 7, 2021, 7:46 PM EDT) Reed Smith LLP has hired a new partner for its Singapore office, saying the former Stephenson Harwood LLP international arbitration attorney will focus his practice on resolving commercial disputes related to energy, infrastructure and projects, and construction and engineering.
Timothy Cooke will join Reed Smith s energy and natural resources group in Singapore, where he has spent the last 15 years advising international and Asian clients with investments in Asian countries including Vietnam, Indonesia, China, India, Malaysia and Myanmar, the firm said in a May 4 statement. Reed Smith s energy and natural resources team is market leading and the firm is renowned.

Energy and infrastructure specialist Timothy Cooke makes switch along with two associates
Disputes partner Timothy Cooke is Reed Smith s latest Singapore recruit Reed Smith has hired energy and infrastructure disputes partner Timothy Cooke from Stephenson Harwood in Singapore as the firm continues to expand its headcount in the Southeast Asian city-state. Cooke joins Reed Smith’s energy and natural resources group along with two associates – Germaine Chia and Khyati Raniwala. Cooke’s practice focuses on energy, infrastructure, construction and engineering disputes. He has extensive experience advising both international and Asian clients with investments across Asia, including jurisdictions such as Vietnam, Indonesia, China, India, Malaysia and Myanmar, as well as in Singapore itself.

Along the South Kohala Coast of Hawai‘i Island, hidden within the Waikoloa Beach Resort, is a short gravel path leading to scenic ‘Anaeho‘omalu Bay. Every time I walk through here it feels like I’m taking a trip back through history and in many ways, I am. Tucked between the Marriott and Hilton hotels, the path passes by native Hawaiian foliage, a‘ā lava rock formations and glistening pools of crystal clear water known as anchialine ponds.
