4-decade-long pastorate comes to a close

GREENFIELD The line was out the door to say goodbye to the Rev. Timothy Campoli after church this Sunday. After 40 years in Greenfield, he is retiring this week. Sunday was his last service.
Pastors typically move between churches, but Campoli spent his entire career in Greenfield. He started at Holy Trinity Church in 1981, then moved after two years to Blessed Sacrament, where he has been ever since.
Since 2017, he has been the pastor of both churches, as the Springfield Diocese has moved to merge the two into a single parish.
