Democrats in the State Assembly are moving to start their own investigation of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, a possible precursor to an impeachment vote, after another allegation of sexual harassment against the governor surfaced on Wednesday night.
Speaker Carl Heastie, the leading Democrat in the Assembly and a long-time ally of Cuomo, announced on Thursday night that he would authorize the Assembly s Judiciary Committee to begin an impeachment investigation to examine the allegations of misconduct.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. A school meeting that was supposed to focus on diversity and inclusion was billed as segregated, separating students of color from their white peers. It drew so much criticism in a matter of hours that administrators were forced to cancel.
