Lockdown hours to be extended from 7pm to 4am starting 8 May By: Times News Service Muscat: Movement ban in Oman will become effective between 7pm and 4am from Saturday, May 8 until May 15, according to the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling developments resulting from coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. In a meeting held yesterday under the chairmanship of Sayyid Hamoud Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, the members followed up the pandemic’s developments, procedures to prevent its spread and discussed ways to tackle its impacts. The Committee discussed the situation in light of the latest data on the virus and its variants, as well as statistics about patients infected with the disease, deaths and those admitted to hospital wards and intensive care units (ICUs) at different hospitals in the Sultanate.

Fuel prices for May announced in Oman| Times of Oman

By: Times News Service Muscat: Muscat: Fuel prices for the month of May 2021 have been announced by National Subsidy System (NSS) with an increase in the amount of subsidised fuel. Meanwhile, starting from today, the amount of subsidized fuel 91 in the National Fuel Subsidy Card will increase to 400 liters per month. According to the National Subsidy System, the prices of oil for May 2021 , the fuel prices approved for May 2021, including Value-Added Tax will be: 1. M 91 at 215 baisa per litre 2. M 95 at 227 baisa per litre 3. Diesel at 228 baisa per litre Fuel prices for the month of April 2021 after applying Value-Added Tax were as below:
